It is one of the functions of the Holy Spirit to lead and guide us. It is His pleasure to lead His children along the path’s of righteousness – to direct our paths and tell us which way to go and what to do. As a Great Father, the Great Shepherd of the sheep – He will not leave us alone to fend for ourselves.
It is the Lord’s desire that we KNOW THE WAY WE SHOULD GO
• Deut. 1:33: Who went in the way before you, to search you out a place to pitch your tents in, in fire by night, t shew you by WHAT way ye should go, and in a cloud by day.
• Isaiah 48:17: Thus says the LORD, your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel, "I am the LORD your God, who teaches you to profit, Who leads you in the way you should go.
But there are some things that can try to hinder this “leading of the Lord”, takes us off the righteous path: A Hindering Spirit, Witchcraft and finally a Spirit of Poverty that can change your destiny.
Spiritual Truth: Everyone of us have a specific and detailed “road” that the Lord has designed just for you –
I. What Are The paths of the Lord –where He leads are paths that are straight and even:
level place (free from obstacles - hindrances), figurative for place of safety, comfort, and prosperity
• Psalm 26:12; my feet stand on level ground, in the great assembly I will praise the Lord
• Psalm 27:11 Teach me your way O Lord, lead me in a straight path because of my enemies
Psalm 143:10 Teach me to do Your will, For You are my God; Let Your good Spirit lead me on level ground.
The Lord does not intentionally lead us into paths that are broken up, uneven, boulders in the way… hindrance, His paths are paths of peace, righteousness justice, but that does not stop the enemy – devil, demons from putting up roadblocks to try and hinder you!!
I Thess 2:18…Paul said I tried and tried to come to you, but Satan hindered us :
II. This is God’s intent for our path-family, business, education, church, etc.:
3 John 2 Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.
•”Mayest Prosper” a combination of Hebrew and Greek words that mean: to be well off; to lead by a direct and easy way a travelers way, journey, travelling, a course of conduct, a way (i.e. manner) of thinking, feeling, deciding
In other words it is the Lord’s desire to give us help on the road, i.e. succeed in reaching; figuratively, to succeed in business affairs:—(have a) prosper(-ous journey).
Did this bless you or give you more understanding? if so leave a comment, I would love your feedback
