Let's take a look at Nehemiah, his name means "Comforted by Jehovah"
Nehemiah's Kingdom Identity Gift Mix was Servant, Ruler, Giver. His dominant gifting was Servant, he was also an intercessor. He was fashioned by God to be a Servant gifting…He went in the way that he should go…this didn’t mean he didn’t have opposition…but when he “went in the way he should go”…he had success in reaching his God given purpose and he prospered in business affairs.
God the Father, sent a servant ruler - Nehemiah to comfort His people, these people were distressed, displaced, in bondage away from their home – their home burned to the ground – they had absolutely NOTHING… and God sent comfort through a man named NEHEMIAH. The Lord sent comfort, especially to the house of Israel.
A Servant gifting wired by God to undergird others, support & come to the need of others. A team player who served the king as a cupbearer. A Giver who was concerned about leaving a legacy for the next generation.
A Ruler(administration) that did not buckle under pressure or the succumb to the witchcraft tactics of Sanballt, as an Administrator, Nehemiah organized and facilitated the building of an entire wall.
The words of Nehemiah son of Hakaliah:
In the month of Kislev in the twentieth year, while I was in the citadel of Susa, 2 Hanani, one of my brothers, came from Judah with some other men, and I questioned them about the Jewish remnant that had survived the exile, and also about Jerusalem.
3 They said to me, “Those who survived the exile and are back in the province are in great trouble and disgrace. The wall of Jerusalem is broken down, and its gates have been burned with fire.”
4 When I heard these things, I sat down and wept. For some days I mourned and fasted and prayed before the God of heaven. And it came to pass, when I heard these words, that I sat down and wept, and mourned certain days, and fasted, and prayed before the God of heaven,
Why did this bother Nehemiah, so much that he cried?
He could have said…”Oh I’m sorry to hear that, I’ll keep yall in prayer”
Or I’ll tell the intercessors to pray for yall, Man, that’s so said – I’ll say a prayer for you “
A grown man, sat down and cried like a baby – hurting over the situation of the people
Hurting so much in his heart – that it MADE him take action, he fasted and prayed for 4 months before making a move.
Why do you suppose this news affected him like that? Why do you think the things you hear and see about others, or your church, your community, your family? etc. affect you the way it does?
Do you think the Lord is prompting you to do something about it? Do you think that maybe the God of heaven has designed you so uniquely that “YOU HAVE THE ANSWER TO THE PROBLEM” did you think that possibly “YOU ARE THE SOLUTION to a specific dilemma?
As a servant gifting this bothered him terribly because his desire to help, assist and care about others. He had a inward drive to help his people. It is the Lord’s desire that we have success along this journey it is the Lord desire to train us in the way we should go.
Nehemiah didn’t try to act like Moses or Abraham, he stayed true to who he was and what God had put in his heart to do. Stay true to who you are and allow the Holy Spirit to lead you in the way you should go!.
Did this bless you?, if so I'd love to hear your feedback, leave a comment
