Did you know Psalms is a book on Warfare?

Yes, you read it correctly! We have grew up believing psalms is a book of comfort & peace to read during troubling times. Preachers often read it at funerals for grieving loved ones, some turn to psalms when they need peace of mind.

But the book of Psalms is also a book of war! David was not only a Worshipper, but he was a Warrior, a righteous & passionate warrior that defended the laws and reputation of the Lord.

As I read and study this book the Holy Spirit has opened my eyes to see the "Language of a Warrior", I see treasures and gems to help me understand spiritual warfare and aid me in praying a more effective prayer for myself and those who have been assigned to my hands.

You are welcome to join me on this wonderful and exciting journey!!

Psalm 57

Treasures of warfare language

v 3 He shall send from heaven, and save me from the reproach of him that would swallow me up. Selah. God shall send forth his mercy and his truth.

In our prayer we can use the words "send forth Your mercy and Truth Lord" to deliver us from shame that we have suffered from past mistakes, past hurts and failures that brought reproach from others. The kind of reproach that makes people look at us as "less than" , We pray that the Lord send His truth, His kindness, compassion in ways that will heal and deliver our souls from shame.
