Growing In Your Gift of Discernment

Every seed has a "fruit" that it produces, whether it is a good seed or a corrupt seed - those seeds will bear fruit. That fruit can also be an action, a characteristic, some type of "sumethin" that points to what the nature is. Apple seeds produce apples, orange seeds produce oranges, etc.

I Peter 1:23 Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever

When discerning whether an action, words that are spoken, a dream, vision or a behavior is coming from the Spirit of God - we have the Word of God to help us "see" what God is really like.

God is a spirit - John 4:24 , the scripture below is the fruit aka the "action" or deeds of God's spirit at work - He never changes, He is the same as He was before the world began. When you're trying to figure out if its the Lord or not, read the scripture Gal. 5:22-23 and see if that action, spoken words, behavior matches with the character and nature of God.

This will help us in discerning the Spirit of God.
