We receive prophetic words all the time, but the majority of them gives only the knowledge of God’s will for us, sharing His heart’s desires toward us – but most often that Word is only knowledge – it is not a WORD OF WISDOM. A Word of Wisdom reveals the HOW this will happen, WHEN it will happen.
Example: if the wealth of the wicked is laid up for the just – how do you suppose it will be given to us? How are we going to get this wealth? What will that look like? How would you recognize it if begins to happen? Will the wicked willingly “hand it over”? I don’t’ think so! How will we get the hidden treasures of darkness the Lord has promised in Isaiah 45:3?
“And I will give you the treasures of darkness and the hidden riches of secret places that you will know that I, the Lord, who called you by your name am the God of Israel.”.
We need spiritual wisdom to know HOW to manage the prophetic word the Lord has given us. Receiving a prophetic word is only the first step - we must learn not to stop there – ask the Lord HOW is this prophetic word going to happen, WHEN will this word take place and remain watchful, prayerful – looking to how & when this word will manifest itself in the earth.
Joel 2:28, “And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions”
The “pouring out” was not an earthly pitcher with God physically or spiritually pouring His Spirit on someone, instead, God had a different way to manifest the prophetic word in the earth -- it was the coming of the Holy Spirit, on the day of Pentecost, it was the "pouring out of His Spirit" when the Holy Spirit sat on each one in the upper room with cloven tongues” - through revelation knowledge Peter knew THIS IS THAT that was spoken by the prophet Joel.
In Act 2nd chapter, Peter said “This is that that was spoken by the prophet Joel”, HOW DID PETER KNOW THAT – through revelation knowledge, the Holy Spirit quicken him, opened his understanding, opened his spiritual eyes to see – THIS IS THAT, this is the promise of the Father, this is what the Lord prophesied long time ago – this is that!.
What we see in the supernatural, many times does not look ANYTHING like it does when it manifests in the natural. It will take the Holy Spirit to open our eyes for us to see the promise of His manifested Word.
Except the Lord open our eyes – to help us to see, to recognize the manifestation of His promise to us, we could really miss it and think the Lord did not fulfill His promise, the prophet lied, or worse, continuing to wait on something that God has ALREADY fulfilled, we just didn’t recognize it! This scenario eats at our faith, it corrodes our belief one day at a time.
The Lord does not play “hide and seek” with His promises. The manifestation of His Word is not hiding in a dark corner, in some dark place where we have to search and search to find it.
He wants us to know, He desires for us to know “this is that”, this is what I promised you, this is what I told you long time ago, this is what I said I would do for you.
Therefore, we must depend up on the Holy Spirit to quicken us, to give us inside revelation that this is it, it may look very different from what you thought it would look like, it may feel different, it may be completely out of the box, out of the city for that matter! Lol! But when the Holy Spirit says “this is that” you will know, you will have a witness in your spirit to the fulfilling of His promise to you – one thing I know for sure, our God is a PROMISE KEEPER!
